The #1 thing to prioritise in 2022! 💤

Hey F&I fam!

And just the like, the new year is right around the corner! 

This means time to start setting some New Year's resolutions…what practices we want to implement in 2022, hobbies to start, goals to hit, the list goes on! 

But one of the biggest ones for us, is prioritising our SLEEP!

Why, you ask? 

Well, it’s no secret we’ve all been reminded, (rather aggressively may we add!) of the power and importance of looking after our health these last 2 years.

As remote workers, we are naturally high achievers, refusing to settle in life and always keen on the latest & greatest way to optimise. Many of us make huge investments in working out and eating clean, often seeing huge ROI towards our productivity, mind and overall health.

And so when we begun to set out on our research on how to truly optimise our health, the #1 subject that came up was sleep!

At first, we were a bit surprised, but if you think about it, us humans spend around 26 whole years of their life sleeping, so it should be a no-brainer that it is a HUGE factor in our health! Some of the facts we found were so surprising that we had to share them with you.

So, why is sleep so crucial for our health & wellbeing? Well, to keep it brief, recent sleep studies have proven to us that a lack of sleep can cause: 

  • High blood pressure
  • Weakened immune system
  • Heart problems
  • Strokes
  • Obesity
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Low sex drive
  • Dementia
  • Alzheimer's disease
  • …& even early death! 

Yikesss. For us, that's more than enough to take notice, & do all we can to improve the quality of our sleep, and therefore, overall life.
